Rev. Jennifer Fenner
Lead Pastor

Rev. Jen Fenner has served as Lead Pastor for Epworth since 2010. She is originally from Fremont Michigan and grew up in Howard County Maryland. She is a graduate of Oberlin College and Drew Theological Seminary. After college she served as a Mission Intern through the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, assigned first to the Protestant Council of Churches (CEPAD) in Nicaragua and then to the Seminar Program of the Church center for the United Nations in NYC.

Pastor Jen credits the church with giving her the opportunity to become bilingual – bi-cultural English/Spanish, a skill she is able to use richly in ministry here at Epworth. She is married to Edgard Tellez (from Managua Nicaragua) and together they have 2 children currently a part of the Montgomery County Public School System. Pastor Jen enjoys family trips to the Western part of the United States,  being outside, collecting antique colored glass, and quiet opportunities to be with those who know her and still love her deeply. Her favorite bible story is Jacob wrestling with the angel of God as God redefines the power and responsibility of blessing.

Rev. Tammi Brantley

Rev. Tammi Brantley

Associate Pastor

Rev. Tammi D. Brantley has served at Epworth since 2021. She is originally from Fitzgerald, Georgia, and is a graduate of Fort Valley State University and Howard University. Before entering full-time ministry, she worked as an Account Manager in the Business Development Department for United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS Inc.).

Pastor Tammi grew up in the church and credits her love for ministry to Jesus' desire to have a personal relationship with us.  Pastor Tammi once heard in a training session the question “What would it be like to serve in a ministry that looks like heaven”.  Coming to Epworth has allowed her to actualize that vision. Pastor Tammi loves her mother who still lives in Georgia and her puppy child Phoebe!  Additionally, she is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Carats, Inc. Three specific scriptures are a part of her daily walk with Christ that guide her life and her thoughts Matthew 6:10, Psalm 23:1, and Jeremiah 29:11.
