Friday June 5, 5:30-6:30pm
Follow-up Camp Joy meeting for all those who are going. This will be the first real team meeting. Meeting in person in room 201 and via zoom worship link. Please make every effort to be present.
Saturday June 25, 9:30am - This is a required session.
Youth will meet to learn to set up tents, go over Camp Joy roles, and answer final questions. At least one parent should plan to attend and will learn Camp Joy expectations.
Saturday July 16
The Saturday before camp you may be asked to bring your packed gear in advance. Stay tuned for more details.
Sunday July 17
Camp Joy team will arrive at Epworth at 9am. We will attend the 10:30 service. We will depart after the 10:30 service.
Sunday July 31
Camp Joy Sunday - the team will be present in all three services. Led by Rev. Dr. Jonathan Williams, the team will share experiences from the mission trip.
The GGYM is a partnership of youth ministries in Gaithersburg in which Epworth participates. GGYM's mission is to build Christ-centered, personal and meaningful relationships with middle and high school students in the Greater Gaithersburg community.
Friday Night Bible Study and Hangout
All middle school and high school aged youths are welcome to hang with us in a safe, fun environment where we do exactly what are name says—hang out in a no pressure, no judgment setting playing sports and games, eating good food, listening to music, and socializing with other awesome youths from around the community.
Join us each Friday, 6:30-9pm at the Casey Community Center, 810 S Frederick Ave, Gaithersburg.
Small Groups for Youth
Small groups for youth are broken by middle and high school to allow for more age related discussions to growing in faith and relationship with each other.
Youth, 6th – 12th grade, meet every Sunday 12 to 1pm to fellowship and study the Word through a variety of ways that allow them to grow the foundation of their faith.
Confirmation is for youth 6th grade and older. They meet Sundays- December through May. Youth and families participate in events to bring to life what it means to be a Christian and follow the Lord Jesus Christ.
Christian and United Methodist doctrine are discussed.
There is a focus on the Bible and fellowship with other confirmation participants.
