We are happy to announce there will be a SPARKS Children's Moment during the 9am and 12:30pm worship services. Children will come to the sanctuary with their family and be invited to join SPARKS Sunday School after the Children's Moment. After Sunday School, children will return to the sanctuary with their family to share the end of worship.

Beginning this week, SPARKS Sunday School will move to 10:30am with both in-person and virtual attendance. This will replace the virtual Sunday School at 11:45am. Please use the Children's Sunday School button on the website to join.

Saturday, September 25 help us celebrate our differences! As an extension of World Communion Sunday on October 3, we want to discover and share the differences within our church family. Where is your home culture, and will you share it with others? On Saturday, September 25 we will gather on the lawn for a picnic with catered chicken, salad, rice and beans. Folks are encouraged to bring a dish from your home culture to share. You may also sign up to host a table, bring a traditional game for people to play, or even perform a traditional dance!

[Personally, my home culture is US Southern. I could bring sweet tea, black-eyed peas, and peach cobbler. I might host a table using a lace tablecloth and my grandmother’s fine china or a checkered cloth and paper plates! For games, I might bring Sorry! or Twister, and if I could dance, maybe show off a little square dancing! The possibilities are as varied as our church family. - Denise]

An Evite has gone out to everyone who receives the Eblast. If you don’t regularly receive the Eblast and would like to participate in the picnic, please contact Pastor Jen. To host a table, lead a traditional game, or perform a traditional dance, follow the link below or contact Vanessa Carbajal.

Fall is always a great opportunity to re-commit to growing in faith. The next weeks you will see videos featuring individuals who have grown through a small Life Group Study.

Starting this week Epworth launches a church-wide study on Jeremiah. Jeremiah is known as the weeping prophet. The book of Jeremiah gives us deep biblical insight into HOPE in the midst of challenging times.

Life Group signups are now open. You are sure to find a group that fits your schedule. Most groups are still remote, though some with fully vaccinated individuals, are meeting in person.

English groups will be using the book, Jeremiah: A 12-Week Study by Matthew S. Harmon. Some books will be available at Epworth for $10 each, or you may purchase yourself.

This survey questionnaire is meant to identify the best programs that would benefit the older adults of our church family. In the effort to offer the right program, the pastoral team needs your input. Please, complete the survey and submit the form to the pastoral team either by mail at 9008 Rosemont Drive Gaithersburg , MD 20877; or you can do so by submitting your answers here

For any question, please contact Richarde

Registration for English classes is now open on the Ana A Brito Foundation website, Classes will be held via ZOOM.

We are also accepting a small number of students for in-person computer classes, Mondays and Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30pm.

Servant helpers are needed Sundays starting at 1:30 through 5:00pm. Individuals to unload the delivery truck are still needed Saturday mornings between 8:30 and 10am.

Roofers at Work

At Epworth, we value generosity and serving our community. See all the ways we are helping out.

Kids Blowing Bubbles

Jesus said, "let the children come to me and do not hinder them." We took this command to heart and made sure that Epworth is a place where children can effectively

grow in their faith.

We also made it super fun!

Happy Family

A place where students can bring the worries of their world to Christ to live into a more authentic Christ-led life!

Church Interior

Not everyone likes

the same stuff. We get it. That's why we offer different worship styles and times.
