Lent and Easter 2026

Epworth’s Lent to Easter 2026 sermon series and study will follow Jesus from baptism to wilderness to miracles to crucifixion to glory. 

​

Preaching will follow these themes. 

​

Lifegroups will be using one of two resources:

  • N.T. Wright’s Lent and Easter for Everyone and/or

  • Kathy Escobar’s Turning Over tables: A Lenten Call for Disrupting Power 

​

Life groups will follow study guides tailored to preaching themes. 


A special lifegroup will focus on Turning Over Tables only. Sign up in the entryway or email Rebecca at sendout@eumc-md.org

The Baltimore Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church is encouraging churches to work in Hubs.

Epworth is part of the Greater Gaithersburg Hub. This Hub of 11 churches is sponsoring an online only Bible Study and several Holy week services.
